Internship: Day 17

Today we went to see the Bay Bridge.

I wasn't even aware that they were building a new section. So they're replacing that part up there so that it's no longer double decked. The two traffic directions will be side by side. The new bridge is pretty, but I still like the current one better. I understand that the new one is safer (the top deck collapsed onto the bottom deck during the '89 earthquake) though. But I've always loved tress bridges for some reason ever since I was little (I suspect it's because we drove over a lot of them on the way to Seattle). And okay, I know it's more of a suspension than a tress, but yeah. The double decks are a tress, so that's all that matters.

Anyway, I got a picture of the Connolly death glare. And a recording of the Zisch death laugh. Bahaha.

On the bus ride back, Connolly was going around to everybody to time and hear their graduation speech (talk about annoying), and I didn't do mine because I forgot, so I pretended to be asleep. She probably guessed I was faking, but oh well.

She also lent me her "hiking boots" (absolutely HIDEOUS, wait until you see the pictures on FB), and when we got back, the sole came off of the right one. O__O So I hid it in my bag and just walked around pretending the shoe was fine/normal. She didn't notice anything, and hopefully I can successfully glue it back together before she hates me even more.
